Ladderlash

A Ladder Lashing System that removes the need for a second person to ‘foot’ the ladder and provides a stable working environment for painting, decorating, window cleaning and other maintenance which requires working from ladders.

Every year many people are killed or injured while using ladders. More than half of these accidents occur because ladders are not securely placed and fixed. The unexpected movement of the ladder, such as the top sliding sideways or the foot slipping outwards can cause loss of balance and a fall. Ladderlash Ladder Ties were developed to provide a secure ladder lashing system for people working at a height from ladders.

Ladderlash Ladder Ties are used to secure portable ladders to prevent slipping. They should be used wherever a ladder is the means of access to a point above the first floor level. BS8213 recommends that when ladders are used they should have a level and firm footing and the ladder should be restrained by the attatchment of ropes or straps to an anchorage in the wall. It should be secured at the base of either side of the ladder position to a series of rings fixed at a distance of between 3 and 5 metres apart. They should be at a height of no more than 2 metres above ground level. It further recommends that if possible the top of the ladder should also be secured during use.

Ladderlash ‘D’ Type Ladder Ties are manufactured from 10mm diameter Grade 316 stainless steel and can be used by fixing to brick, stone or concrete with polyester resin or similar adhesive.

Ladderlash lashing straps are used with these ladder ties. They are manufactured from 1" wide webbing, are 3 metres long and come complete with a cam buckle and winch hook which permits rapid attatchment or removal of the strap.

Ladderlash removes the need for a second person to 'foot' the ladder and is quickly assembled or removed. It is therefore the ideal means of providing a safe working envronment at an economical price.
